    Benefits Navigator is a volunteer program established to train volunteers to help older and disabled adults access benefits they need for economic security and well being.

    The program  has over 300 trained volunteers to provide counseling and assistance on public benefits. Volunteers must participate in an intensive two-day training and receive annual updates. The training focuses on Medicaid, MQB (or Medicare-Aid), Social Security, Food Stamps, and the Low Income Energy Assistance Program.
