In accordance with the provisions of Governor Beverly Perdue's Executive Order 70 - Rule Modification and Improvement Program - issued October 21, 2010, the Division of Health Service Regulation has scheduled meetings to review the N.C. Medical Care Commission rules. The meetings are open to the public.

The goal of the review sessions is to ensure that:

  1. Only those rules that are necessary to protect the health and safety of North Carolina's citizens are in effect,
  2. The rules do not serve as unnecessary barriers to the development of innovative approaches to the delivery of health care and to the efficient operation of medical care facilities, and
  3. The rules are cost effective and are easy to understand.

If you are unable to attend the scheduled meeting for the rules of interest to you, the Commission will accept your written comments regarding the rules. The comments may be submitted to the appropriate section or to the Commission and are due by 5:00 p.m. the day before the meeting.
