Medicaid Categories

Medicaid

Medicaid provides health care coverage for low-income individuals and families who can't afford health care costs. Medicaid serves low-income parents, children, seniors and people with disabilities. Medicaid is governed by both federal and state laws.

     Medicaid for Aged, Blind or Disabled
     (MAABD)

 

MAABD provides medical coverage for people who are aged 65 or older, blind or disabled. Eligibility for these programs is based on the family's monthly income and the amount of resources the family owns.

     Medicaid for Families with Dependent
     Children (MAF)

MAF provides health care coverage for those aged 19 or 20, or single parents or couples who have children under the age of 19 in their household.

    Medicaid for Infants and Children (MIC)


MIC provides medical coverage for those under the age of 19.

    Medicaid for Pregnant Women (MPW)

MPW provides limited medical coverage for pregnant women.
