DSDHH Administrative Rules

Administrative rules are implemented to interpret and provide specific instructions to the citizens of North Carolina on how business is conducted in state government. They are written guidelines and directions on the functions and purposes of specific statues. Administrative rules are binding by law and they provide statements on specific actions that will be enforced by state agencies.

The Division of Services for the Deaf and the Hard of Hearing offers rules that can benefit the Deaf, the Hard of Hearing, Deaf/Blind clients, their families and agencies, in many ways. Detailed information on Administrative Rules for the Division of Services for the Deaf and the Hard of Hearing covers: Rulemaking Procedures, Administration, Interpreter Services and Assistive Equipment Distribution.

Office of Administrative Hearings list all administrative rules that are currently in effect and enforceable.  The North Carolina Administrative Code is a compilation of the administrative rules of approximately twenty six state agencies and over fifty occupational licensing boards.
