LOGIN TO BEACON

Wednesday, May 27, 2009:

  • To support Executive Order #11 and the Flexible Furlough Plan, the OSC BEACON team has configured a new absence type (9710) to allow for flexible furlough time off to be recorded by employees. Although the 9710 absence type is not tied to a quota, an employee’s time statement will display the number of flexible furlough hours used during a specific month. As a reminder, the system will only allow the 9710 absence type to be recorded on work dates between June 1 and Dec. 31, 2009.

It is important to note that although the system will allow more than 10 hours of 9710 to be entered, recording more than 10 hours of absence type 9710 will result in an error during time evaluation. This error will prevent the employee’s time from processing any further. If this occurs, a time administrator would need to correct the error. Time administrators should continue to monitor time evaluation error logs through PT_ERL00 to identify and correct these and other time processing errors. The system will not produce an alert if an employee has not used his or her 10 hours prior to Dec. 31, 2009.
