November 17, 2008:

  • The BEST Shared Services Team put together a Time and Pay Quick Facts flyer to address many of the questions they receive calls about.

November 10, 2008:

  • To assist agencies in providing required information to the Office of State Personnel, age is now available on B0088-2 reports.

Follow these instructions to add the age field by turning on hidden key figures.

November 7, 2008:

  • Recently there have been some problems in exporting BI reports to Excel. The following steps will fix the problem:
    1. Open Internet Explorer
    2. In the top menu, click Tools --> Internet Options
    3. A new window titled "Internet Options" should open.
    4. Click on the Security tab.
    5. Click on the Trusted Sites icon (Green Check Mark)
    6. Click the Sites button
    7. In the area Add this website to the zone, enter the following: https://mybeacon.its.state.nc.us
    8. Click the Add button.
    9. Click Close, to close the window,
    10. Click OK to close the Internet Options window.
    11. Close Internet Explorer;then open it again.
    12. Log onto the Beacon portal and test downloading a report to Excel.
