Good afternoon. This is the second monthly update, and we hope they
provide useful information.
Conversion to the new law enforcement titles of Public Safety Officer
or Public Safety Supervisor is effective February 1st. Affected Human
Resource Managers and Public Safety Supervisors are being trained January
12-13 to assess competencies and to level their employees toward full
implementation. The training will also include salary administration,
recruitment/selection, dispute guidelines, and administration procedures
on forms and PMIS.
Information Technology positions are to be converted to their new titles
effective February 1st. We hope to provide training to you and all IT
Supervisors in late February or early March for Information Technology's
April 1, 2006 implementation.
Forms that will be used for career banded positions have been developed
and are being finalized. They will be included in the HR Managers' Banding
Guide that is accessible through the Banding web site by next week.
We will keep you posted on when we expect to convert other classes such
as Institutional Services to Career Banding.
