The policies that apply to Human Resources at DHHS come from several sources.

The policies that guide our Human Resources functions come from the State Personnel Manual, DHHS Directives, and the DHHS HR Policy Manual.

State Personnel Manual
The online State Personnel Manual contains human resources policies that apply to DHHS as well as all other state agencies.
 
DHHS Directives
For certain policies, DHHS has department-specific Directives. These Directives are available through the department On-Line Publications or at local HR offices, and the offices of Institution Directors and Division Directors.
 
DHHS HR Policy Manual
The HR Policy Manual is available online. The revised Policy Manual includes information clarifying memos and old Personnel Services Directives. Click here to view the policy manual. Contact your local HR office for more information.
