Mission
Recruitment Services is responsible
for attracting diverse, highly qualified
applicants, including interns and co-op students, to
the Department's workforce.
The section is also charged with enhancing efforts
to improve recruitment for hard-to-fill positions, particularly
those in direct health and medical
care services. The section provides technical
assistance, consultation, and education to improve individual
recruitment services and career counseling. The section
also seeks to build departmental recruitment efforts
through participation in job fairs,
enhanced media and marketing campaigns,
and networking with professional organizations.
Educationally, this section is responsible for assisting
managers and supervisors in developing knowledge and
skills in recruitment and selection techniques.
Finally, the section is accountable for program and
quality assurance evaluation of recruitment efforts
throughout the Department's human resources offices.
