Course Description
This three-hour training session covers the basics of
the Employee Assistance Program and dealing with personal,
medical and
substance abuse concerns of staff.
General Course Objectives
During this training, participants will:
- Gain a working knowledge of the Employee
Assistance Program.
- Learn how to deal with personal/medical and
substance abuse concerns in the workplace.
- Become familiar with a five-step process to complement sound management
decisions when dealing with a troubled employee:
- Recognition
- Documentation
- Confrontation
- Referral
- Reintegration
Intended Audience:
Open to all frontline supervisors
and new managers.
