The Involuntary Commitment Facilities listing was established in compliance with Session Law 2005-371. This law directed DHHS to develop an internet-based list of facilities which have been approved to treat individuals under petitions of involuntary commitment. The list is primarily used by law enforcement officers, but is used by others. All facilities listed have criteria set forth by statute.
