2012 Psychiatric Residential Treatment Facilities
(PRTF) Medicaid Audit

The NC Division of Mental Health, Developmental Disabilities and Substance Abuse Services (DMH/DD/SAS) and the Division of Medical Assistance (DMA) will conduct Medicaid audits of Psychiatric Residential Treatment Facilities (PRTF) directly enrolled with North Carolina Medicaid.

The Medicaid Audit tool, Staff Ratio tool, Eligibility Checklist and the Staff Qualifications checklist are posted here. Prior to each audit, providers will
receive a list of records to be reviewed. Audit tools are subject to revisions. Any changes made will be posted to this web site.
