NC Jail Diversion Program

The mission of the Jail Diversion program is to divert people with mental illness or co-occurring mental illness and substance abuse problems and/or developmental disabilities from the criminal justice system into the treatment, services and/or supports they need to live successfully in their communities.

A jail diversion program is a mental health program specifically designed to identify and divert individuals with mental illness from the criminal justice system into appropriate treatment in the mental health system. To learn more...
