Adoption Profile

Introducing Shebra...

Roller-blading, bike and horseback riding, and playing soccer are her favorite activities, but she thinks she might like to try cheerleading, as well. When she has to be indoors, Shebra enjoys watching movies or listening to music. She has had opportunities to care for different kinds of pets and has shown to be caring, nurturing and responsible with them.

ShebraShebra’s individual education plan at school identifies goals related to both academics and behavior. Special educational services will allow her to be successful at her own rate and work on her own level, giving more attention to those subjects that require extra assistance. It is likely that tutoring will be beneficial, as well. Shebra also has goals in counseling regarding trust, respect, building positive relationships and improving academics and behavior. She is making significant progress and continued success is anticipated.

A Family for Shebra...

Shebra wants a permanent family to provide her with a safe and nurturing home. Her adoptive family must understand her needs and advocate for her in school and in the community. They will also need to continue Shebra’s counseling to allow her to continue making progress. Shebra has a sister with whom she should have ongoing contact. (NC #073-1829)
