Top EMS teams in N.C. to compete Sunday, 9/29

Greensboro, N.C. - The 23rd annual North Carolina Paramedic Competition gets under way Sunday, Sept. 29, at the Joseph S. Koury Convention Center, pitting the 2012 state champs from Leland Fire/Rescue in Brunswick County against five teams that clinched regional championships this summer for the right to challenge them.

The regional champions are teams from Davidson, Rowan, Surry, Pender and Cumberland counties. These five challengers won regional competitions held in July at community colleges in Cumberland,

The competition is part of the 40th annual Emergency Medicine Today Conference, which runs from Saturday through Wednesday.

WHAT: 23rd annual N.C. Paramedic Competition

WHEN: 12 p.m. until about 4 p.m.

WHERE: Joseph S. Koury Convention Center/Four Seasons Hotel, Greensboro
