Raleigh, N.C. - Today, Department of Health and Human Services Secretary Aldona Wos, M.D. announced that Medicaid Chief Operating Officer Sandy Terrell, MS, RN will lead day-to-day operations of the Division of Medical Assistance (DMA) as Carol Steckel makes the transition to the private sector. After Ms. Steckel's last official day on October 11, Terrell will become Acting Director of the state's Medicaid program as we conduct a search for a new Medicaid Director.
