Peer Counselor Contact Calculator A Peer Counselor must communicate routinely with women enrolled in the Breastfeeding Peer Counselor (BFPC) Program. The Peer Counselor Contact Calculator was created as a quick reference to know when the required and recommended contacts are due for prenatal and postpartum WIC participants. For more information, see the contact frequency requirements in Chapter 9: Breastfeeding Program Management, Section 6: Breastfeeding Peer Counselor Program from the WIC Program Manual. How to Use the Calculator To calculate the required and recommended prenatal contacts, enter the "Date BFPC Letter of Agreement Signed (optional)" and "Estimated Due Date" dates in a MM/DD/YYYY format. For postpartum contacts, enter the "Actual Date of Delivery" in a MM/DD/YYYY format. If a WIC participant enrolls in the Breastfeeding Peer Counselor Program postpartum, the field "Date BFPC Letter of Agreement Signed" becomes an optional field to receive the results.
