Data and reports on North Carolina LME/MCOs

Local Management Entity/Managed Care Organizations (LME/MCOs) manage care related to mental health, substance use, intellectual and developmental disabilities, and traumatic brain injury for NC Medicaid beneficiaries, people without insurance, and people whose insurance doesn’t cover everything they need. Each county has an LME/MCO. More information is in the LME/MCO Directory.

We track the services delivered by LME/MCOs, their quality, and other data, to understand how we can improve.
