Dual Eligibles Advisory Committee
The Dual Eligibles Advisory Committee was established according to Session Law 2015-245, to provide input to the Department of Health and Human Services as it developed a long-term strategy to cover dual eligibles under Medicaid reform. From June 2016 through January 2017, the Advisory Committee provided valuable insight, perspective and expertise that substantially contributed to strategy development.
On Jan. 31, 2017, the Department provided its Managed Care Strategy for North Carolina Medicare-Medicaid Dual Eligible Beneficiaries report to the NC Joint Legislative Oversight Committee on Medicaid and NC Health Choice. The Department will continue to engage the Advisory Committee throughout the process of transitioning dual-eligible beneficiaries to managed care.
