Post Adoption Support and Resources
Adoption Assistance
Many of the children available for adoption through the North Carolina child welfare system are eligible for monthly payments, medical benefits and other services. The monthly adoption assistance payment in North Carolina is based on the age of the child and the child’s specific special needs. More information is available at the NC Division of Social Services Adoption website.
Agencies Providing Ongoing Support to Adoptive Families
You can contact the County Department of Social Services in the county where you currently reside or where your adoptive child was adopted from to request post adoption support services.
