Adjustment to Vision Loss

We offer many services to assist you in adjusting to your vision loss and learning to live independently and safely in your home and community.

Services include:

• Adaptive communications skills
• Assistive technology
• Community-based classes called "Mini-Centers" and are provided by our Independent Living Rehabilitation Counselors.
• Extensive daily living skills Instruction
• Information and referral to other resources

Eligibility

You are eligible for our services if you are:

• A North Carolina resident
• Struggling to find employment due to significant visual impairment
• Finding it difficult to remain independent due to significant visual impairment

How to Apply

An Independent Living Rehabilitation Counselor in one of our district offices will meet with you. The Counselor will explain the services and assist with completing the application forms.
