Certified Peer Support Specialists in the Workforce

Certified Peer Support Specialists (CPSS) provide expertise informed by lived experience and high-quality training to empower individuals to live their best life in the communities of their choice. Research shows the cost benefit of Peers in the workforce help to enhance the services that providers offer by using resources to prevent and reduce hospitalization, relapse, crisis situations, and other high-cost services. With the growing demand for whole-person care, Peers can be found in inpatient psychiatric unites, emergency departments, peer-run organizations, telehealth, outpatient services and more.
