NC WIC Agreement Addenda Data
The goal for both the State and Local WIC Programs is to implement or enhance activities which improve performance over time for each indicator. Each of the following WIC Agreement Addenda Process Outcome Objective (AAPOO) data indicator is presented by Local Health Agencies or County.
The following annual WIC Agreement Addenda Data by AAPOO indicators are listed below:
Please note that Deliverable #2A data will not be presented until 2024 as WIC Crossroads MIS operated under waivers, waiving physical presence (including height/weight measures and Hgb/HCT tests) until May 2023. Therefore, Crossroads WIC MIS anthropometric data from 2020 to 2023 were incomplete.
Deliverable #1 – Provide Access to Program Services for Women
- A. Number and Percent of Pregnant Women Enrolled in Medicaid Who Receive Prenatal WIC Program Services.
- CY 2021 (this data is currently not available and will be posted later)
- B. Number and Percent of Pregnant Women Enrolled in WIC Who Receive WIC Program Services during the First Trimester of Pregnancy.
- C. Number and Percent of Pregnant Women who Enrolled in the WIC Program and who Subsequently Certified as Postpartum Woman within 42 days (6 weeks) of the Actual Delivery.
Deliverable #2 – Promote Healthy Weights
- A. Number and Percent of Children 2-4 years of age who receive WIC Program services who have a Body Mass Index (BMI) below the 85th Percentile but above the 5th Percentile for age and gender.
- CY 2020 to CY2023 report will not be available due to insufficient data.
- B. Number and Percent of Women with Live Term Singleton Births in North Carolina Who Gain Weight Within the National Academy of Sciences - Institute Of Medicine (IOM) Recommended Weight Gain Ranges.

- A. Number Percent of Women Participating in WIC Who Initiated Breastfeeding
- B. Number and Percent of Infants Participating in WIC Who Are Breastfeeding At 6 Weeks Of Age
- C. Number Percent of Infants Participating in WIC Who Are Breastfeeding At 6 Months Of Age
- D. Number Percent of Infants Participating in WIC Who Are Breastfeeding At Twelve Months Of Age

Please note that Deliverable #2A data will not be presented until 2024 as WIC continues to operate under waivers waiving physical presence (including height/weight measures and Hgb/HCT tests). Therefore, Crossroads WIC MIS data from 2020, 2021 2022 and beyond will continue to be incomplete.
