Performance Management
Performance Management is a vital part of the organizational strategy at DHHS. Driven by the North Carolina statewide performance management policy and automated process, Valuing Individual Performance (VIP), performance management:
- Helps employees have a clear understanding of the performance expected of them and how their individual work contributes to achievement of the organizational mission, goals and business objectives as well as demonstrate agency values;
- Assists employees in providing, as well as receiving, input into the development of individual goals and ongoing information about how effectively they are performing relative to established goals.
- Effectively tracks and measures based on business-related outcomes.
- Fosters a culture of ongoing communication between employees and manager.
- Identifies opportunities for employee growth and development.
