NC Administrative Code

The North Carolina Administrative Code contains all administrative rules, which are written to fully interpret statutes.

The Code divides its contents into title, subtitle, chapter and sections. For example, the rule for Staff Definitions is 10A NCAC 27G .0104:

“10A” is the title

“NCAC” is the North Carolina Administrative Code

“27” is the chapter

“G” is the subchapter

“.0104” is the rule number

Rules related to the mental health, developmental disabilities, and substance abuse service delivery system are found primarily in Title 10A, Chapters 26, 27, 28 and 29.
