State Consumer and Family Advisory Committee
Nothing about us, without us

It advises the Division of Mental Health, Developmental Disabilities and Substance Use Services, other NCDHHS agencies, and the General Assembly. Local Consumer and Family Advisory Committees
The local Consumer and Family Advisory Committees (CFACS) make planning and management recommendations to each Local Management Entity/Managed Care Organization (LME/MCO). LME/MCOs manage care related to mental health, substance use, intellectual and developmental disabilities, and traumatic brain injury for NC Medicaid beneficiaries, people without insurance, and people whose insurance doesn’t cover everything they need. Each county has an LME/MCO.
