Inclusion Connects
Inclusion Connects is an NCDHHS program that connects people with IDD to more choices and more access to services and supports. The program is a collaboration among NCDHHS divisions, including the Division of Mental Health, Developmental Disabilities, Employment and Independence for People with Disabilities, Substance Use Services and Medicaid, to provide resources for connecting people with I/DD to services and supports available to live, work and play in their chosen communities.
To support people with IDD in their communities, Inclusion Connects focuses on:
- Improving access and enhancing the housing array for people with IDD.
- Promoting access to services for people in need of services, including those on the Innovation Waiver Waitlist.
- Addressing the Direct Support Professional (DSP) workforce shortage, including connecting DSPs with providers and people with IDD.
- Supporting competitive integrated employment through Inclusion Works.
