Inclusion Connects Advisory Committee

The Inclusion Connects Advisory Committee is tasked with supporting the intellectual and developmental disabilities (I/DD) community in North Carolina by researching, recommending, and advising on the implementation of best and promising practices. Comprising community partners and subject matter experts from the Department of Health and Human Services (DHHS) and the Department of Public Instruction (DPI), the committee collaborates to review and improve service offerings and support systems. Their scope includes presenting and evaluating evidence-based and promising practices to community stakeholders, covering areas such as Medicaid, state-funded services, and strategic initiatives for I/DD services. The committee meets quarterly and may form ad hoc groups as needed to delve deeper into specific issues. Membership includes a diverse array of stakeholders from across the state, who serve staggered terms, contributing to a sustained and informed oversight of I/DD services in North Carolina.
