If a disability or chronic medical condition is a barrier to achieving your career goals, we can help! North Carolina’s vocational rehabilitation (VR) program helps people with disabilities prepare for careers, get hired, stay employed and advance professionally.

There is no cost to apply or to find out if you are eligible for services. Find a local office near you to learn more and apply for services.
If you receive public benefits and want to work, our expert counselors can help you understand how earning income from work can impact your benefits. They can also explain the different incentive programs that let you prepare for and go to work, while protecting your Medicaid, social security, and other benefits.
