Critical Access Behavioral Health Agencies

Critical Access Behavioral Health Agencies (CABHA) are designed to ensure that critical services are delivered by a clinically competent organization with appropriate medical oversight and the ability to deliver a continuum of services.

How to Become a Critical Access Behavioral Health Agency 

• Contact your Local Management Entity/Managed Care Organization (LME/MCO) to request that your organization become a certified CABHA.
• Your LME/MCO will reach out to a DMHDDSUS representative to confirm contracting with your organization for CABHA-related services.
• A DMHDDSUS representative will send you the application with additional instructions.
