Client Assistance Program
North Carolina’s Client Assistance Program is a federally funded program to assist people with disabilities understand and access rehabilitation services. We help anyone who is looking for information about, applying for, or receiving services from a rehabilitation program in North Carolina. CAP provides the following types of assistance:
- Informing individuals about all services and benefits available to them
- Advocating for and helping individuals access rehabilitation services and programs
- Helping to identify and resolve problems that may arise during the rehabilitation process
- Making recommendations to improve rehabilitation services.
Who we help
We help anyone who is looking for information about, applying for, or receiving services from a rehabilitation program in North Carolina, including the Division of Employment and Independence for People with Disabilities, the Division of Services for the Blind, Tribal Vocational Rehabilitation Programs, and federally funded Independent Living Centers.
We can help individuals who:
- Are denied services for which they might be eligible
- Are dissatisfied with services they are receiving
- Need intervention or assistance in their relationships with programs that provide rehabilitation services
